Hello,

Im new to the forum.

Soon Im going to be taking a college Physics course and Im preparing by doing this Physics Tutorial I found online for free(http://library.thinkquest.org/10796/) Anyway Im doing the basic skills section and got stuck on the last question.

You are looking up at the top of a building at 30 degrees. If the building is 20 m tall, how far are you from the building? Assume that you are 1.70 m tall

Could i get some help here. Im not sure what to do with the 1.70m. I know I will have to use Sin/Cosine/Tangent, but Im stuck.\

Thanks

Im not sure what to do with the 1.70m.Subtract it from the 20 m. Your problem is logic and visualization more than trig.
