Default String Theory and the Psychedelic Experience

Hi all,

Is anyone aware of any studies or discussions on the use of psychedelics to explore the possible extra dimensions offered by string theory?

Surely, there is correlation between the alternate states or 'mind places' experienced from psychedelics and the extra dimensions postulated by string theory?

Ancient shamans talked of other worlds accessed through trance states induced by such 'medicines' as ayahuasca.

There seems to be a void between the academics postulating string theory and those exploring the psychedlic experience, or am I wrong?

Love to hear any or all experiences in this regard.

Cheers.
